Changed My Life!

Have been using the freewheel for a few weeks now and must say it has changed my life drastically. I am able to run with my dog without any fear of flipping out of my chair. It pretty much glides over any surface and just feels so stable. This product is just amazing.

FreeWheel Review

So ya, I ordered up one of Pats Freewheels. It arrived on Thursday, which is pretty freaking outstanding considering I ordered it on the 8th!

My review, this is the best thing I've spent money on in years! Are you kidding me, holy shit! Straight out of the box, attached in like 5 seconds and gone..and i mean gone! Flyin across the grass, the crappy hole filled end of the garden and out into the gravel alley behind our place..heres where it really blew me away! We recently had a pretty decent storm, so the alley is not only gravel and filled with potholes, it's littered with twigs and branches up to 2inches round..I started at one end and took off, as fast and as hard as I could push straight down the middle of it. Flew through the potholes, floated over the branches just a good steady snort with no slowing down.Amazing! As a guy who spends alot of time off the beaten path..Thanks Pat!

I got my FreeWheel a few weeks back. This has been the best $400 I've ever spent on any adaptive equipment. I can now cruise up hills that without the FreeWheel would have been impossible. Grass, gravel, dirt roads are all easy.

Was out on the in-laws farm where I was pretty much confined to the patio or sidewalk before without help. This time I was all over the place with no problems. I'm a C-5, 6 incomplete quad with moderate strength. I never got comfortable balancing in a wheelie, and front casters have limited me forever. No more!

I plan to buy another when my GPV with Xtender wheels gets here. Then my Ti will stay in the car as a travel chair with a FreeWheel in the trunk for cruisin over rough terrain while out and about.

Hi Pat,

You are a genuis!!! I love this thing--I hope you make millions. I just got my FreeWheel yesterday and I did my two-mile route in record time. Every time I would go out in my manual chair, every little pebble or crack in the pavement could spell disaster. Now, I aim for every pot-hole and bump along my way. The FreeWheel allows me to keep up my monentum without worrying about the danger of uneven surfaces--now I'm rolling easy. This product has opened up so many possibilities in an instant. If I had the FreeWheel at the beginning of my disability, I don't think I would ever have gotten a powerchair. With that, my only criticism is that you weren't selling these eleven years ago!--but I'll let that one go.Thank you for such an excellents product,

Hey all,

My FreeWheel finally showed up in the mail a few days ago. I can honestly say I wish I'd had this thing since day one of my injury. We have a nice large back yard, but until a few days ago I spent most of my time on the deck, watching my daughter play with the dog. That is definitely no longer the case - I'm right down there with them now!I also took the dog for a walk with it - we have fairly rough, pitted roads in my area, and no sidewalks. To get any speed requires a lot of work, and usually I'd come home more tired than the dog. Not so anymore! She ran the whole way, and we went much further than I would usually be capable of. It was a lot of fun!Last night we went to a bbq put on by a co-worker. They have a huge, hilly back yard with gravel pathways. The freelwheel moved across the gravel with ease - it felt more like a tight-pile carpet than gravel. Without the freewheel I would have parked myself by a table and probably not moved much until it was time to go home. With it, I was free to move about the whole yard - take the tour, play with the dogs, chase after our little toddler - it was a completely different experience. Thanks Pat - I love this thing!-Taziar
